Climate Change and African Political Stability (CCAPS)

The Climate Change and African Political Stability (CCAPS) program at the Robert S. Strauss Center for International Security and Law is a five-year program funded by the United States Department of Defense Minerva Initiative.  As part of this endeavor, IPD is collaborating with the CCAPS Aid Mapping team to track and geomap all development assistance relevant to climate change adaptation in Africa.  The work is an important step forward in developing robust methods for tracking climate finance and discerning where adaptation aid is meeting need throughout Africa.

The CCAPS program also tracks subnational data on climate change vulnerability, conflict and governance. This wealth of information is available in a dynamic data dashboard that allows end-users to visualize and interact with data. See the CCAPS dashboard and mapping tools here.

For more information on the CCAPS program, visit the CCAPS website or contact Dr. Kate Weaver or Lead Graduate Researcher Justin Baker.
